Jio Platforms listed on the stock exchanges on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at ₹1,358 per share, a 21.35% premium to its issue price of ₹1,119, according to ANI. The shares touched an early high of ₹1,374 and were at ₹1,357.45, up ₹238.45 or 21.31%, when ANI filed its report, giving a market value of about ₹12.5 lakh crore. ANI does not separately report the NSE and BSE listing prices. Spectate Media has not seen exchange data and relies on that report, which reflects trading shortly after the 10 am listing, not the close.
How the issue was received
The offer was subscribed 22.19 times overall, with qualified institutional buyers at 70.55 times the shares reserved for them. ANI puts total demand at more than ₹7.5 lakh crore from over 1.3 crore applications, and says the issue was fully subscribed within 95 minutes of opening. The anchor book was ₹8,110 crore, with institutional demand of over ₹2.5 lakh crore, more than 30 times the amount on offer.
Reliance's stake
Reliance Industries holds 64.48% of Jio Platforms. Reliance shares traded at ₹1,197 at about 9:59 am, up 0.07% from the previous close of ₹1,196.20.
What management said
Akash Ambani, chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, said the response surpassed the company's imagination and broke records in every investor category. He called the listing a starting line, not a finish line, and said the company's platforms serve more than 540 million customers. ANI mentions Isha Ambani but does not quote her.
What to watch
A first-day premium shows early demand, not how the shares will trade over time. The report gives no closing price, so the day's trading range and volumes are still to be reported. Not investment advice.
