Jio Platforms' initial public offering closed on Friday, 23 October 2026, subscribed 22.19 times overall, according to The Daily Jagran. Bids were for 4,38,26,15,568 shares against 19,75,25,934 on offer, and the issue drew more than one crore applications. BusinessToday described that as a first for any issue worldwide. Spectate Media has not seen the exchange's final subscription table, and final figures by investor category were not available.
How demand built through the day
Day-three snapshots show the climb. At 10:28 am the issue was 6.15 times subscribed, according to Upstox's live blog. At 1:15 pm it was 7.65 times, with bids worth ₹1.69 lakh crore, BusinessToday reported. At that point institutional buyers were at 16.27 times, non-institutional investors at 10.45 times, eligible Reliance Industries shareholders at 6.10 times, employees at 2.57 times and retail at 2.14 times. HDFC Sky put the overall figure at 12.55 times by 3 pm. An Economic Times headline counted 12 records and ₹4.5 lakh crore of bids, but Spectate Media could not open the article.
The issue
The offer is ₹30,213 crore at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 a share, made up entirely of fresh shares. Upstox reported that up to ₹27,500 crore will repay borrowings at Reliance Jio Infocomm. BusinessToday put the market capitalisation at the upper band at about ₹10.30 lakh crore. HDFC Sky has listed allotment on 26 October, refunds and share credit on 27 October and listing on 28 October. BusinessToday gave the grey market premium as about ₹240 to ₹250, an indicated gain of 21-22%. The premium is unofficial and is not a guarantee.

What boards and CFOs should note
Three points stand out. First, intraday snapshots understate the final figure, because demand rose sharply late on the last day. Second, the category-wise final numbers, which show who drove the close, are still to be confirmed. Third, the listing on 28 October, not the grey market, will set the first market price.
