Larsen & Toubro's Residential, Commercial Buildings & Factories business has secured multiple construction orders covering projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, the company said on 2 November. L&T classifies a “significant” order as one valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore, although it did not disclose the precise combined contract value.
The programme spans two large residential developments and one commercial development, alongside add-on orders for projects already under execution. The announcement gives tower counts and floor configurations but does not name the client, contract duration or package-level value.
Mumbai order covers nine high-rise towers
The Mumbai project comprises nine high-rise residential towers. Each tower is planned with one basement and 50 floors, making vertical construction, logistics, structural sequencing and site safety central execution considerations.
L&T described the customer as a prestigious client but did not identify it. The release also omitted the location within Mumbai, saleable area and completion schedule, limiting any assessment of the project's impact beyond the disclosed construction scope.
Bengaluru and Hyderabad broaden the work
The Bengaluru residential order also covers nine towers. Each is designed with three basements and 25 floors. Compared with the Mumbai project, the additional basement levels point to a different excavation and substructure profile, while the lower tower height changes the construction mix.
In Hyderabad, the company will build a premium commercial tower with five basements and 22 floors. L&T also reported add-on orders for some ongoing projects, without providing the number or individual scope of those additions.
Order classification sets the disclosed value range
L&T's published classification places “significant” orders in the ₹1,000 crore to ₹2,500 crore band. The next bands are “large” at ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore, “major” at ₹5,000 crore to ₹10,000 crore, “mega” at ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore and “ultra-mega” above ₹15,000 crore.
The classification provides a range rather than the final contract amount. Revenue recognition will depend on the contractual milestones and execution period, neither of which was provided in the release.

- Where within the ₹1,000 crore to ₹2,500 crore band does the combined award fall?
- What completion milestones apply to the 18 residential towers and Hyderabad commercial tower?
- How much of the announcement relates to new orders versus add-on work on existing projects?
